Yoga Retreat
Description
Girlfriends Getaway is a week-long yoga retreat for women at Xinalani Retreat in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico. Led by vinyasa teacher Kate Jones, it combines daily flow classes, meditation, ceremony, time in the water and unhurried rest. It is meant for women who want to travel with a group of friends or meet new ones, and who want a week that is about play and reconnecting with a free, fun side of themselves.
What to Expect
The week blends yoga, healing, adventure and self care. Mornings begin with coffee and snacks at 7:00 am, followed by yoga from 8:00 to 9:30 am. Breakfast is at 10:00, and at 11:00 the group heads out on a hike to Secret Beach, where there is time to swim and play.
Lunch is served at 2:30 pm, and the afternoon is left open for reading, getting a massage or lingering at the pool. Dinner is at 7:30 pm. Alongside the yoga classes, the week includes meditation classes, ceremony and a sound bath, and a massage is part of the stay. The pace is a balance of movement and rest, with shared meals and plenty of room to simply enjoy each other's company.
About Kate Jones
Kate Jones teaches vinyasa and flow yoga and has spent more than 20 years growing as both a student and a teacher. She sees yoga as a lifestyle that helps people live at their full potential. Her training rooted her in the belief that yoga is for everybody and every body. Her classes are described as inspiring, uplifting and full of flow and good energy. She encourages students to find and embrace their own yoga journey, and she works to create an environment where everyone can grow both physically and spiritually.
The Setting
Xinalani Retreat sits on the coast outside Puerto Vallarta. Guests stay in the property's selected accommodation, which includes both rooms and casitas; the gallery shows a deluxe room with air conditioning. Three meals are served daily, along with coffee, tea, fruit and granola.
Getting there is part of the adventure. Airport transfers and a boat ride to the retreat center are included, so there is no need to arrange the final stretch yourself. On site, kayaks and snorkel equipment are available, and the hike to Secret Beach is part of the daily rhythm.
